After a day of shopping, there was only one sight to see in Amritsar as evening approached.
But we would both need to have our heads covered to enter. Katy was prepared but I still needed to find some cloth to wrap my head.
Other than that, we needed to ask around to ensure we followed all the rules as we made our way into the Golden Temple; which is a central religious place for the Sikhs that is open to people of all religions.
They serve around 100,000 meals a day to anyone who enters and is hungry.

UNFORGETTABLE First Indian Train 🇮🇳

During our stay, we experienced a mixture of big cities and small towns. Some of which had powerful museums and memorials.
We tasted all kinds of Polish cuisine. But to see all of this took us 6 weeks.
So as we end our time in Poland, here in the country’s capital, we will examine the city to see if it offers everything you need to see as a tourist.

Wrocław has impressive architecture such as Centennial Hall and Wrocław University.
We also have a mission. That will lead us on a search for a local legend in the oldest part of the city, Ostrów Tumski.

When you think of Guatemala, there is a word you may not think of; luxury. But you should. There are some really upscale areas. Especially in the capital.
Zone 10 is where some of the richest in the country relax and play. It is home to the Oakland Mall, which was decked out in Christmas lights and decorations. And it was only October.
We were able to stop into two different cafes to try some of the premier coffee of Guatemala. Where the level of detail and care was impeccable.
We also explored an area that EVERYONE said was obligatory when visiting Ciudad de Guatemala; Cayalá.

Today we will give our first impressions of in Lake Atitlán in Guatemala in Central America in September 2022. We challenge ourselves to see as much as possible of San Juan La Laguna and San Pedro La Laguna as we can in 24 hours.

Lake Atitlán is one of the most visited tourist attractions in Guatemala.
It was voted one of the Seven Wonders of Central America by Imaginative Traveller.
Lake Atitlan is Central America's deepest lake and was formed by a volcanic eruption approximately 84,000 years ago.
There are over 10 different towns surrounding the lake. Some of them are named after the apostles of Jesus.

This town can boast of the unique and sensational views that come with being adjacent to Lake Atitlan, which was voted one of the Seven Wonders of Central America by Imaginative Traveller.
Lake Atitlan is Central America's deepest lake and was formed by a volcanic eruption approximately 84,000 years ago.
In the morning we had breakfast and then a pleasant walk out to the Nature Reserve for the ziplining. There is the basic option to zipline through the woods, but we decided to take the scenic route, on the X-treme cables, to soar alongside Lake Atitlan.

We volunteered in Guatemala for the first time

We have wanted to volunteer since we have been traveling full time. When we arrived in Guatemala, we tried again. We messaged 5 or 6 and finally we found one organization here in Guatemala that had an event that we could serve at. We met and served with Carlos Galindo, the founder and president of Pan De Vida.

Most people use Flores, as just a jumping off point to explore Tikal.
Flores is the capital of Petén. Peten is the largest department in Guatemala.
It was on this island that the Maya established NojPetén, their final stronghold in the face of the Spanish conquest.
The town of Santa Elena is located on the shores of Lake Petén Itzá, and it is connected by a causeway to the island.
San Benito is next to Santa Elena.
We will try local food on the waterfront of the causeway, wander through the Santa Elena Market, and search for the best place in San Benito, to see the island of Flores from afar. Come with us, as we look for the hidden gems, of Flores.

There is a lot to see in Tulum, Mexico. The city and region are known for their water-filled sinkholes called cenotes. These are excellent natural pools to cool off and relax. However, it may be most famous for the Mayan ruins that overlook the beach. Tribes from all over came here to buy and sell goods. That is what we are paying homage to today. We collect patches from every country we visit, however, THAT goal was already met in Cancun. Today we are going to explore the markets in search of a pin. After that, we will walk through a lively street full of food vendors in search of dinner and dessert.

We did this activity, and in this travel vlog we look for a souvenir that represents our swim with the largest fish in the water, the whale shark. Biking Cozumel Mexico in Search of Markets

Today we go look for markets as we bicycle across Cozumel, Quintana Roo, Mexico.

Episode Details:

When most people think of Cozumel they think of lying around and taking in the gorgeous views of the water. But we are not looking to relax or enjoy the water today. We are looking to push our limits and travel by land. Our goal is to bike from the port city of San Miguel de Cozumel all the way east to the other coast of the island. This is an approximatly a 14 kilometer or 9 mile ride. Along the way we are going to look for markets and street vendors. Crossing the island by bike instead of by foot was definitely faster. Flying into Greece

In this Travel Vlog we show you how Americans can fly into Greece in 2021. We fly out of Tirana (Mother Teresa) International Airport to Athens International Airport in Greece. 3 months earlier we flew into Tirana from Florida in the United States with a layover at Frankfurt Airport in Germany. We spent the time since traveling around the Balkans: Albania, Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia and Macedonia.

Macedonia to Albania Border Crossing

In this Travel Vlog we have to figure out how to get from Lake Ohrid Macedonia to Albania. We will not be flying so we will have to find out how to get across the border by land. Once we reach the border crossing then we can find our city.

Lake Ohrid, Macedonia

In this travel vlog our 2021 Macedonian lockdown continued. Instead of being in Bitola, we were in Lake Ohrid Macedonia. Everything (even supermarkets and pharmacies) closed down at 8 pm (20:00). ⁣⁣

Have you ever done a socially-distant scavenger hunt for food? Even if you don't want to be indoors sitting around people this is still a great way to find new food and have an exciting time. ⁣Because you can't lock down Mother Nature! ⁣
When we were in Ohrid Macedonia we jotted down a list of traditional Macedonian foods we wanted to try on a sticky note. Then we went out to find them! ⁣
We had a time-limit impossed on us since everything shut down at 8 pm (20:00); which made it more challenging.⁣ ⁣
But we found a lot of options available via take-away.⁣ ⁣
Not everything. But still a lot. And we were able to keep our social distance since we could not sit down inside restaurants.⁣ The dishes that we tried to find this week were:⁣ ⁣
🥗 Shopska Salad: made from tomatoes, cucumbers, onion/scallions, raw or roasted peppers, sirene (white brine cheese), and parsley. (This is also Bulgaria's most famous and national salad). (𝗪𝐢𝐥𝐥'𝐬 𝐅𝐚𝐯!)
🥘 Mućkalica: stew made of barbecued meat and vegetables. Its name is derived from mućkati, meaning "to shake, stir, mix". (Also a Serbian dish).⁣ ⁣
🍲 Tavče gravče: This meal is beans, peppers, and seasoning baked and served in a traditional unglazed earthenware pot. It is considered the national dish of Macedonia. (𝐊𝐚𝐭𝐲'𝐬 𝐅𝐚𝐯!)⁣ ⁣
🌶 Ajvar: A condiment made principally from red bell peppers, eggplants, and oil. The relish became a popular side dish throughout Yugoslavia after World War II.⁣ ⁣
🥞 Mekitsa (plural: Mekici): made of kneaded dough made with yogurt that is deep fried. (Also a traditional Bulgarian dish).⁣ ⁣
🍒 Rakia (Cherry): One of the most popular spirits. Found all over the Balkans but in Macedonia they have options with a cherry flavor.⁣

In this Travel Vlog we got transportation from Bitola to Nižepole in Macedonia. From there we hiked the outskirts of Pelister National Park in search of the large lake Golemo Ezero.

Macedonian Railways - Skopje to Bitola

In this Travel Vlog we took Macedonian Railways from Skopje to Bitola Macedonia in 2021. You will see our first impressions of our first train in the Balkans. Macedonia Railways is definitely one of the hidden gems of the country and was a more affordable option than taking the bus. Plus the view was incredible!

Once we arrived in Bitola we topped at the Ravenna restaurant on Širok Sokak. Thankfully we did, because the next day Macedonia added to a lockdown to their curfew. We were not able to dine in for the rest of our time in Bitola.

We wanted to see more of Skopje than just the statues so we decided to explore the outskirts of the city in search of hidden gems. This trip is from 2021.

We visited the Orthodox Cross and hiked up Mount Vodno to the Millennium Cross. This is our second Macedonia Travel video of the year and it is full of beautiful nature. We also visited Matka Canyon and Vrelo Cave in Matka Village in our video "We Visit Skopje Macedonia 2021 - Travel Vlog to Matka Canyon and Vrelo Cave on a Day Trip" (https://youtu.be/XsKYqLkRCBE).
We went to Park „Aerodrom“ as Google Maps calls it, otherwise known as Park Avion Novo Lisice, to see the park with an airplane in the middle! From the bottom of the mountain we had an easier hike to Middle Vodno then it the difficultly increased to finish the hike to the Millennium Cross.
Skopje Macedonia is amazing. After all it is the place where Mother Teresa was born. They also have a fort, a craft beer brewery and an Old Bazaar.

In this Travel Vlog provides full details on our trip to Durrës (Durres) Albania in 2021! We explored the Roman Amphitheater, saw the Durrës Castle, saw the Adriatic Sea and had our favorite fish dinner while in Albania.
Towards the end of our time in Tirana, Albania, we took a day trip to Durrës. Originally, we wanted more time in Durrës, but a day trip turned out to be perfect.
We had a great fish meal, had plenty of time to completely walk around the amphitheater, and were able to check out the Adriatic Sea. Ideally when you go it will be summer and you can enjoy the beach, as we were not able to do that. But, I gotta say, it was still a great time.

Tirana, Albania

We hung out in Skanderbeg Square, took public transportation, rode the longest cableway in the Balkans to the top of the Dajti Mountain, and ate Traditional Albanian food. The food, the sites, and energy of Tirana were incredible. We had a great time and we highly recommend you take a trip there when you feel comfortable enough to travel again.

Florida Panhandle

We took a trip to Tallahassee to see FSU and FAMU, Carrabelle to see the World's Smallest Police Station, Cape San Blas to see the Donna Kay abandoned ship, and a few other small beach towns!
The Panhandle is the northwest part of the state. Georgia is north of Tallahassee, but the rest of the panhandle is surrounded to the north and west by Alabama. Tallahassee is landlocked but so many of the other cities in the Panhandle are right on the Gulf of Mexico.
We found the Donna Kay shrimp boat (boat on land), Destin - known as the "World’s luckiest fishing village," the world's smallest police station, and the enchanting beach that is a former best beach in America winner.

Tulum

We saw pelicans walking the beach looking for their next meal.
We toured the Zona Archaeologica de Tulum where we saw the Temple of the Wind God that was used for religious purposes until as recently as 1924.
We had the best waiter at Cinco Tulum where we drank out of coconuts and overlooked the majestic beach. Watch along as we explore the City of Dawn!

Cenotes

Episode Details:

A Cenote is a natural pit or sinkhole. They are created when there is a collapse of limestone bedrock that exposes groundwater.
Cenote Zací (Cenote Zaci) was a 10 minute walk from the hotel we stayed at (http://www.mesondelmarques.com). This cenote is only half covered which allows tons of sunlight in. We even took turns diving off of a cliff into the water!
We also visited the "Blue Cave" Cenote Xkeken (meaning "pig" in Mayan) and Cenote Samulá (Cenote Samula). They share a parking area and have passes that can be combined together.
Back in the city center of Valladolid we hung out at Parque Principal Francisco Canton Rosado. We enjoyed delicious marquesitas, sat in the 2 seater benches, and enjoyed the view of the Church of Saint Servatius (Iglesia de San Servacio). We also saw the fountain of “La Mestiza” (mixed race woman).

Chichen Itza
